Message This week I expected to have my car painted but that got pushed back.. However I did have a chance to look at the trim corner pieces.

I opened up the new corner pieces I bought from CZP.. Looked at them and noticed they did NOT slide out the top as I thought they would.. They actually slide out the side and install before putting the window onto the hatch.... So since I already bought the new corners I decided I would just pop the old corner pieces out of the top with a screw driver and hammer.. It of course broke... here is what I then had..

Here is how it sits in respect to the glass

In these pictures you can kind of see that the corner piece slides in from the side and there is a little prong behind the window that slides into the little slot....

I checked to see if there was any way it could be put in from the side but that was a no go.... Doesn't slide in obviously

I then opted to just trim part of the lower slot with a razor.. After about a minute of trimming away I tried to slide it in from the top and it fit with a little love tap.. In the pictures you can somewhat see what the clip was and then what I trimmed it to... I know it was not meant to go in this way but when I put it on after it was pretty snug and I figured after a little silicon (or something) would hold it in place with no problems....

In this picture you can see that it fits in the original position

Comments are welcome.. I know this isn't "doing it right" but it will have to do as I would rather not spend money to pull the windshield
